Working remotely from Bulgaria: agree the arrangements
Clarify tax, social security and employer obligations before travelling.

What to consider
Prepare a calendar showing where you physically work and the length of the stay. A temporary stay is not automatically without tax consequences.
Bulgaria is an EU member. EU rules coordinate social security, often starting from the country of work. Special rules cover assignments and work in several countries; clarify whether an A1 certificate is needed.
Agree dates, workplaces and Danish working days with the employer. Decide who will investigate local registration, payroll and employer duties. Check insurance and any residence or work requirements before departure.
